I’m a Swedish-speaking Finnish visual artist based in Pietarsaari, Finland. In my work, I return to themes of childhood, femininity, body, and identity. Things that feel close, complicated, and often a little fragile.

I work with textile collage, sculpture, and painting, but I also like to explore new techniques. I’m drawn to materials that carry a sense of memory, like old fabrics, beads, glitter, and sequins. They remind me of something familiar and comforting, but also something that has been lost or changed over time.

A lot of my work comes from personal experiences, but I also get inspiration from pop culture and fairytales. I’m interested in creating something that can be both soft and sad at the same time, like beauty and loneliness. Through my work, I try to hold onto these personal feelings and give them a physical form, even when they’re difficult to describe.

There’s often a sense of nostalgia in what I make, but not only as something warm. For me, nostalgia can also be heavy, strange, or a bit unsettling, and I like working in that tension.
